This SI’s theme is “AI and New Productive Forces”. The digital economy is characterized by the rapid development and the unprecedentedly deep influence driven by disruptive technologies like artificial intelligence and the associated new productive forces, making it a key force for the reorganization of global factor resources. It also reshapes the global economic structure, and changes the global competitive landscape. These significant aspects have a substantial impact on the acquisition of enterprise resources, production/operations, logistics, transaction, product development and financing activities. It can greatly improve the efficiency of commodities production and circulation, and profoundly change the mode of production and consumption of social and economic systems worldwide, which has attracted widespread attention of both the industry and the academia.

This Special Issue, therefore jointly launched by JMSE and CSAMSE through the platform of 2025 CSAMSE conference, seeks to publish high-quality scholarly papers that focus on original works or comprehensive reviews with relevancy of AI and New Productive Forces in the fields of management science and engineering. Some topics include, but are not limited to, the following:
