Application to CSAMSE Early Career Fellows Program
CSAMSE is excited to announce the establishment of the CSAMSE Early Career Fellows Program. The honorary titles of CSAMSE Early Career Fellow (ECF) are awarded to exceptional early-career scholars who have successfully demonstrated outstanding research drive, excellence in teaching, remarkable leadership and commitment to serve our broad community in management science and engineering field. The CSAMSE Early Career Fellows Program aims to support the awardees to reach their full potential for a fruitful academic career and beyond, through mentorship by senior faculty, fellowship with peer scholars, and engagement with the CSAMSE community; and by doing so to inspire and cultivate the next generation of distinguished scholars in our field.
Eligibility Criteria
1. The applicants must be domestic or overseas Chinese scholars who hold Ph.D. and are engaged in academic roles in management science and engineering, operations research, or related fields;
2. The applicants must have obtained their Ph.D. no more than six years before receiving the award;
3. The applicants should have demonstrated multidimensional excellence:
(1) Research Impact: publications in premier journals;
(2) Community Leadership: services through editorial/review roles, conference organizations, or activities in other professional societies;
(3) Educational Innovation: course development or pedagogical contributions, and undergraduate or postgraduate student trainings/supervisions;
(4) Other achievements/contributions that highlight the applicant’s academic excellence.
Application Requirements
Applicants are required to submit the following materials:
1. Curriculum Vitae (CV): A detailed CV highlighting academic achievements, publications, and professional experience.
2. Applicant Statement (maximum 800 words): A concise statement that should provide details describing:
l Her/his professional accomplishments and contributions;
l Her/his impact in research, teaching, and practices;
l What the applicants hope to gain from and how they intend to contribute to the CSAMSE community.
3. Up to Three Representative Papers:: Including published or accepted papers.
4. Two Recommendation Letters: From full professors or equivalent, attesting to the applicant’s qualifications, achievements, and potential.
Selected applicants will be invited for interviews and the CSAMSE Early Career Fellow (ECF) list will be announced before the Annual CSAMSE International Conference each year. The ECFs will be invited to present in a special session and participate in social activities with mentors and their cohort at the conference.
